Montverde Academy (MVA) is a coeducational, independent, international college preparatory school for boarding students in grades 7-12 and day students in grades Pre-K3 – 12 and post-graduate studies, representing more than 70 nationalities. The Academy strives to foster critical and independent thinking while inspiring curiosity, exploration, and a lifelong love of learning in their students, who become leaders with a global vision and strong character.

Montverde Academy teachers are authorities in their academic fields who work to engage students in a challenging, innovative environment. Instructors at the Academy continue to develop and learn professionally through master classes, graduate study, and collaboration. The MVA experience is an engaging and challenging academic environment that inspires students to achieve at the highest level. Inside and outside of the classroom, students develop their talents and abilities through involvement in fine arts, athletics, school clubs, and service organizations.

The Mission of Montverde Academy is to inspire students to become leaders with a passion for knowledge, global vision, and innovation while developing character in a nurturing and diverse community. The staff members, parents, and students are part of a close-knit, deeply caring community. They emphasize positive relationships that help build self-esteem and confidence in the students, where each individual feels like a valued community member.

Annual events

Montverde Academy offers a strong, competitive athletic program and belongs to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Athletic programs at Montverde Academy have achieved much local, regional and national success. The annual MAIT basketball and MAST soccer tournaments draw some of the best in high school athletics to these three-day tournaments, which have produced NBA stars such as Ben Simmons, D'Angelo Russell, and RJ Barrett. The Academy's soccer program, SIMA, has produced 60+ alumni who play professionally and earned student-athletes more than 35 million dollars in scholarships since 2011.

The Academy hosts annual events and traditions for students and families that celebrate their diverse student body background including Lunar New Year, Diversity Fest, Prom, Homecoming, Sabado Gigante, Winter Fest and more.
